ASSURANCE OF QUALITY
The Assurance of Quality is fundamental to all the work undertaken by A B Castle Ltd, House Removal Services and Warehouse Storage. We feel it is important for personnel at all levels within our company to work together to achieve these requirements. Customer Care and Satisfaction is our main goal, we treat all customers and their belongings with equal care and respect.
To this end, we are registered members of the British Association of Removers (BAR Ref: CO89). Est. 1900, it represents the finest Moving Companies in the country and we are proud to have qualified for entry. We are also an ISO 9001 registered firm. We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses and the Chamber of Commerce - Rotherham & Sheffield.









INSURANCE
All vehicles belonging to A B Castle Ltd are fully insured.
- The following Insurance Policies meet the council requirements for
provision of House Removal Services and Warehouse Storage:
- - Employers Liability - (Basil Fry & Co)
- Public Liability - (Poundgates)
- Goods in Transit - (Poundgates)
- Warehouse & Storage Insurance - (Poundgates)
REMOVAL PERSONNEL
All personnel employed by A B Castle are trained in accordance with Manual Handling Regulations 1992 and also achieve Level 1 on the Moving Institute Foundation courses.
We ensure that all members of staff have the relevant training and experience. Inexperienced staff are supervised at all times, until they are trained to the required level (this is done both internally and externally). We expect nothing less than the highest standards from our team.

VEHICLES
- We hold the Ministry of Transport Operators Licence to which these strict operating rules apply:

Daily checks are carried out on all vehicles by the drivers
(recorded and retained for 15 months).

Services are carried out every 6 weeks
(recorded and retained for 15 months).

Tacho Regulations are in place to monitor driver's hours, speed and rest period.
All vehicles when on Council Property will be driven in accordance with the
British Association of Removers (BAR) schedule of requirements.
REMOVAL PROCEDURES

Initially removal requirements are identified (i.e. vehicles, staff, equipment, dates, time frame, customer requirements).

Vehicle access is organised for pick up and drop off address (permission or permits if required).

A 'Risk Assessment' is then carried out at both the collection and delivery address.

Standard removal equipment used by A B Castle Ltd:
tape, labels, boxes, crates, sack barrows, dollies, piano wheels, safe movers, hanging wardrobes, bubble wrap, paper etc.

All packing equipment will be used in line with the British Association of Removers (BAR) schedule of requirements.

All necessary protection is used as standard procedure (i.e. floors, banisters, doors, walls and lifts where necessary are covered with protective materials).
